I am one of the owners and I am livid. The good thing is that most of the owners know where the VICKS live in Cobbly Nob. We, the owners of cabins that Libby used to manage, need to assemble sometime this month and meet with a good lawyer to make the VICKS live up to their contractual agreement even if that means that Robert's Daddy has to bail them out. We don't care we just want what is fairly ours.
Please remember that the Fontaines sold the business to the Vicks several years ago, and had nothing to do with this disaster. We are so sorry that so many people are suffering now under our name.
The word is that Libby Vick has high blood pressure. Wow....how many people who are responsible and do their job everyday have high blood pressure. Plus they continue make mortgage payments, provide for their families and meet their commitments. They don't shut down their lives and lock their doors. I am also sorry that they have defiled the Fontaine name.
I am hearing that Robert Vick is not going to reimburse any cabin rental deposits. He wants the cabin rental companies the owners moved their cabins to discount the renters.

How can this idiot say he will refund money minus cancellation fees. They are the ones who did the cancellation. Oh, my, vengenance is mine saith the Lord. But some people might not wait.
Well in the letter sent to the cabin owners from Libby Vick, it says we will be reimbursed for June rentals thru the 15th.
I am not very confident that they are going to pay cabin owners or reimburse the renter's deposit money.
When somebody closes the door this quickly, it is usually due to financial hardship. They have too many people in the family and employees who could have done the right thing and kept the business open until all transactions were cleared up.

You are correct! In no way would a reputable company close the doors the way they did unless there is something sinister going on! I hope they get what is coming to them. I am out well over $1000!
Everyone who is out money needs to call the Sevier County Sheriffs Dept and ask for Detective Stephanie Hodges and if she does not answer then leave a message and tell her about how you were treated.
Someone needs to post a map of where their house is in Cobbly Nob. I bet the guards have been told not tell anyone where they live. Cobbly Nob rentals might give someone a map and tell them where their house is. It is on Vixen Run.
Hello, I just found out that they are closed and I have or had reservations starting July 12th for two weeks. I am sorry that someone might have health problems, but I did not get a letter or anything about the closure. Found out by chance. Tried the posted number and the mail box is full. I see now I have a number of calls to make. Thank you for the information. Any suggestions on finding out who may own the cabin I thought I was going to?? Thanks in advance.

Oh...this is great. We will win this battle. And the Vicks will suffer for a long time for their atrocity.
The houses that the Vick's have on there Real Estate site are owned by them. The Castle on the Green and one home in Holiday Hills section. Value is well over $1 million. They also own a home on Vixen Run and equity in Fontaines cabin.
The Vicks also own The Mountain Critter Lodge. Robert claims that he does not own it directly but it is in the faimly. I suspect it's his dad. They do also own The Castle. Both were rented by Fontaine Cabin Rentals. Robert has them both for sale though through Fontaine Realty. Both companies or DBAs are controlled by Tree to Green Properties, LLC which was renewed in 12/09 by Libby Vick.
If you have been affected and have not yet, please contact Detective Hodges. She is trying to gather as much information from those affected as possible. I believe the number listed above is correct.
I talked to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission a few days ago. Be assertive...get beyond the person who answers and says "we already know about Fontaine." I am a cabin owner and once connected to the right dept. the person put their supervisor on the phone with me. She talked to me for over 20 minutes gathering information. She said she never hears from the cabin owners and she was very interested in all the info I was able to provide. Per her request, I also sent her a copy of the letter Libby Vick sent the cabin owners. PLEASE EVEN CABIN OWNERS CONTACT THEM...THEY ARE INVESTIGATING. This is our only way to make sure they do not get away with what they have done to so many people.

TN Real Estate Commission. I called 615-253-1177 and spoke to Connel House..when he found out I was a cabin owner and received a check from the Vicks for June rentals thru the 15, he put his manager/supervisor on the phone. It was a woman....we went back and forth so much that I really did not get her name. sorry. But she was very interested in all the info I was able to give her. She also gave me many details about the investigation. Even when I faxed her copies of my documents she told me to fax them to Connel. But I will tell you from our conversation, they are doing their best to investigate this situation. I really did not think I was going to receive any money from the Vicks and had called a few days earlier and left a message with Connel. In the meantime, I received the check.

I just spoke with the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The lady told me there wasnt anything they could really do at this point and that the Tennessee Real Estate Commission was looking into the matter. I then called the TREC at 615-741-2273 and left a message for Carneal House. We need every person effected in this to flood the Tennessee Real Estate Commission with complaints. I called the Sevier Sheriffs Dept and Det Hodges is on vacation this week. The officer I spoke with was well aware of the situation and stated that at this point everything was a civil matter. Keep calling the TREC...enough calls will make this a criminal matter.
Yes, there is a big question as to whether anything to this point is actually "legal" or not. After speaking with Det. Hodges last week, she seems to agree; but she is talking to as many affected people as possible to see if there is anything. The Sheriff's Office and TREC are trying to investigate the Vicks; but until something legal is uncovered, there is little they can do. The Vicks are evidently laying low at this point.

I just talked to a realtor. If the Vicks do not pay back those that have trusted them, they will be committing a felony. They said the the attorney general of Tennessee will be involved in the case. Robert, Libby, and David Vick could be facing jail time. They assured me that this is a crime. It will just take awhile. Everyone please file your complaint to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission.
Oh it is a crime. There is proof of intent to steal from cabin owners. A former employee of Vick's was offered by Vick to split the cabin rental fees with the employee and not tell the owners their cabins were rented as often as they were. Det. Hodges is aware of this and has taken a statement from the employee. Sounds criminal, not civil to me! How about not only the money we are due but the time spent on this and emotional distress~

The Castle is owned by the Vick family. Run from them as fast as you can; they are crooks.
Definitely avoid The Castle (on the Green) and Mountain Critter Lodge. They are both owned by the Vicks or the Vick faimly. They are also both for sale by Robert Vick presently, at least they have been.

I went to my bank to file a dispute on my credit card regarding the deposit made on a cabin. The bank said that typically you only have up to 60 days from the charge date to file a dispute. My bank did file a report with their fraud division so we will see what happens. Also I filed a complaint with the TN Attorney General's Office - Division of Consumer Affairs.
That family from Michigan is staying for free in a cabin from Peggy and one smaller one from Otis...

I am the person who posted the Fontaine Cabin Rentals Closed post on Trip Advisor. I am also a cabin owner who was with Fontaine Cabin Rentals during this whole disaster. I started referring people to Peggy at Pioneer because I knew she previously worked at Fontaine and she had the names of most of the cabin owners. She also had their phone numbers and could contact the owners to tell them when people were looking for their cabin. I know Peggy very well and have known her for many years. I only referred people to her due to this crisis, not to give her business. Peggy has been a godsend for so many people during this nightmare. Just so you know that most of the posts on Trip Advisor were not made by Peggy. I also went with another cabin rental company -- not Pioneer. So do read so much into all the compliments to Peggy. She has really helped out so many people.
Of course Pioneer had not been heard of prior to all this~ Pioneer is new. We now all know of it, because we tracked Peggy down! She was so helpful at Fontaine Cabin Rentals, her name is one I remember. I think the fact that we remember her as a great person to deal with is a good thing. So I'm sure the cabin owners felt the same. If not why would they have gone with her.What- think she held a gun to their heads? Or bribed them with the money she stole- oh wait that was Vick-someone you site as a good refferal! How the hell did YOU actually get to speak with him anyway???

I am so glad for all the help for the out the $2700. This is a blessing. I have yet to receive a call or an email from anyone, but my dispute package came in the mail from my cc company and I have plenty of info to send in with it. Received letterS from Fontaine yesterday. One was from Fontaine Cabin Rentals saying they would give refunds pro-rata. There was then a handwritten note at the bottom stating that the property would be rented by its owner. In the same envelope was a later from Bob Vick (unsigned) saying that he would be renting it directly and our rental would be honored, etc. "Bob Vick" is Robert's father I believe.
At this point, I do not want anything to do with these guys. They have yet to address anything I have asked them for.

Remember your contract was through Fontaine Cabin Rentals. A company which is now closed with reservations canceled due to health reasons. How could any of us ever trust something that comes in a Fontaine envelope. Other cabin owners are not honoring our reservations. They just want to make money. Fontaine Cabin Rentals have stated that they are closed. You do not have a contract with at private owner- talk about not have any backing. We are not getting any from a larger company that has screwed us. Don't trust a private owner, let alone a VICK. So Daddy got his money for the cabins but I know my cabin owner did not. They just want to still make money off Mt. Critter Lodge and Castle on the Green. Just b/c it's his father does not mean you have a contract with him. Did your letter even address YOU, your check in and out dates... What assurance do you have? None...

Someone who needs to talk to Det. Hodges needs to tell her to talk to the guards in the Security Building at the entrance of Cobbly Nob about the comings and goings of the Vicks. Someone reported that they cannot be located. Tell her the guards would be glad to notify her of their arrival.

I just emailed our favorite TV station in Knoxville and pleaded with them how important this story is. I hope I get a response so you can speak with a reporter. Channel 10 is usually real good about covering stories that have impact on human lives and their well-being. I hope I can give you someone to talk with.

Trip Advisor is tired of all the negativity. Sad because how else are we to get out all this information for future renters? This is going to continue thru October since many cabins had rentals thru that month.
TREC stated they need to speak with more cabin owners!!!

It's approx. $112.50 + $22 per location served to started a civil lawsuit there. (That's roughly what I remember, after having talked to Sevier Co. about it once.) NOTE: Class Action was not discussed at that time.
I emailed Channel 10 in Knoxville Sunday evening and as of 6:13 pm Eastern Standard Time (Tuesday) I have not received a response from the manager or anyone else.

Just a quick note to all. While it appears that the business is closed, it was amazing to see the sign for Fontaine Cabin Rentals is still up out near Cosby announcing that it is four miles up the road.
Question: Does anyone happen to know what the TN law says about the statue of limitations for filling a law suit against our best buddies, SICK, the Vicks??
THE LETTER: For anyone who paid their deposit via credit card (CC) and is waiting for the rental dates to pass before their CC company will remove the charges: My CC company accepted the Fontaine/Vick letter as proof and agreed to remove the charges NOW. I faxed them the letter which states that the company has "closed and will not reopen" (thus services cannot possibly be rendered). CC company said not to worry about the threatened withholding of fees. Sure enough, I have just verified that the full charge has been credited back! The letter contains no personal information and could be used by any Fontaine VICKtim as proof/evidence. I am willing to forward a PDF formatted copy of the letter to any who did not receive one but may be able to use it in the same way (if your CC Company is open to the obvious, as mine was). We can now enjoy our future visit without this worry still pending and sincerely wish the same for all of you. Let me know if there is any interest. I will check back soon. K.
It would be interesting to know what the outcome was for the pest control person with the cabin keys (posted above on July 5). Please update if you still visit here. Unless they paid you, I hope you did not give the keys back to the Vicks. If all the cabin owners were to charge the Vicks to have their locks changed on every door, they'd be begging to pay what they owe you.
I certainly wouldn't want any of the Vicks to have access to my cabin. Any cabin owners who sue the Vicks need to include the expense of having their locks changed, regardless. Even if they give your keys back, they could have easily made copies.

I was the former pest control company that got stiffed out of two months of service.Still have not received anything.I received a call from Greenbrier needing keys to four cabins going on their program.I know laurie and David Gray,felt comfortable with their request .I dropped the other keys off at the security house with the guard on duty.did not give me much info on the comings and goings.Still hold termite bond on the castle, hope rob vick trys to sell and needs my help. check out hammerandafeather blog about tenn realestate law and how it's not working for the consumers.will continue to snoop around and keep you'all posted.
Thanks for the update! The lawyer I spoke with said the TREC board is made of real estate agents and they pretty much protect their own. Just like doctors I said back. Does the state of TN allow you to place a mechanics lien on the Castle since they owe you money for services rendered?
I called a detective at the sheriff's department in my county north of Sevier County. I talked to a detective about the situation since we cannot get anyone in Sevier County to do their job. He said that this issue is a civil case. A lawyer is needed to handle the case and if the judge finds for the renter or renters the Vick will have to return the deposits plus pay court cost and lawyer fees. Now this sounds promising. Maybe Mr. Stapleton would represent the renters with the understanding his fee will come from the Vicks. I am hoping he will agree to that. I left a message with him to discuss this matter. My nephew is wreary of the ordeal but if this is possible I am sure he will want to help the other person on here for both of their causes.
It would be nice if Det. Hodges would return telephone calls and tell people that.
Detective Hodges returned my call today. I was cutting the yard. And it was too late to call her back.

Oh, now it's more than obvious that either Robert or Libby made that disgruntled posting on Saturday directing fault to their former employee. (without actually using her name) but let me tell you all this. I own a business, not at all related to the cabin rental business. Robert and Libby never paid their bill to me for the work I did for them, and they avoided and avoided any and all contact with me. to this day (almost 2 years later) they STILL haven't paid their bill, which they rightfully owe. So, basically, the Vicks need to go look in their "smoking mirror" (which they aren't even smart enough to know its "smoke AND mirrors". and see who is the real cause of their problems. Typical for people like this, wanting to lay blame anywhere but where it should be placed, directly at their door. Wonder if their related to Sterling Webb (Sterling Springs)?
Evidently, Robert responds to TREC complaints in a somewhat timely fashion, more so than inquiries as to his business dealings, etc. I suspect it's because TREC has control over his real estate license and that's really all he cares about at this point. The fact remains that he did not do what he indicated he would for me and he would not return my inquiries further. I just let my bank handle it; and I have received all my funds back to-date since they couldn't even get the Vicks to respond to the dispute I filed with my CC. THAT tells you how dedicated they are to their clients.
It is really unfortunate that so many innocent people are caught up in the web of deception which was created by the ones who will profit most from the circumstances.

The only ones who have profitted from this fiASSco are the Vicks. The many people who have not had their deposits returned are the ones who have lost. It is not fair that the Vicks can keep money for a service not rendered due to the wording of the rental contract. Plus how many people were not able to enjoy their vacation since they had trusted Libby Vick and gave her, in good faith, their credit card numbers to place a deposit on the cabin they chose. Then minus that money, they did not have enough to rent another cabin or get a hotel room and still vacation in the Gatlinburg area. According to Tennessee state law. the rental cabin company reserves the right to substitute properties, provide alternative lodging or cancel reservation if for any reason beyond our control the property becomes unavailable. If cancelled, a full refund of the deposit will be made. Upon refund, all contractual rights and obligations are released. So how much clearer can that be one who calls names so easily behind your smoking mirror.

Ok, I cannot sit back and read these posts and not address some of the issues brought up. I had my cabin with Cobbly Nob for years and then with Fontaine Cabin Rentals. When Doug took over Cobbly Nob my cabin rentals dropped dramatically. I had friends call their office to recommend a cabin (describing mine perfectly) to rent. They always recommended the same cabins over and over. My cabin is a new cabin that is very well maintained, but they never mentioned mine. I found out the cabins they were pushing belonged to Cobbly Nob or people tied to them. After moving to Fontaine, I found out the same thing was occurring. I would go on their website and the cabins that were renting were older and out dated while mine stayed empty. I wonder who those belonged to? Yes, you guessed it. I was very unhappy with Fontaine just like I was with Cobbly Nob. Everytime there was a storm, I was charged 10.00 for someone from Fontaine to drive up the mountain and check for storm damage. Just imagine, with 30 cabins, you can make 300.00 everytime there is a heavy rain. (and in Gatlinburg that is quite often) I could go on and on but I think you understand what I mean. I was not the only cabin owner who was unhappy with them. These are not rumors, but true statements. I have not heard from any person who rented from Fontaine that received their money back.....so you can take up for these companies and people all you want, but many of us know the truth.

It is great to hear the truth from an owner who has fought two of the (QUOTE) GOOD GUYS. I know for a fact that the storm drive-by happened. Now, refute that name caller!!!!!!! That is one of the reasons that Mrs. Fontaine (previous owner of Fontaine Cabin Rentals who sold the business to the VICKS) removed her cabins from the Vicks and is renting on her own. She is actually making money renting NOW!! These are facts, not rumors.
Posting that is three posts up from this one is 100% accurate. I have been involved with the mountain since 1986. I have owned up to 5 houses at one time and can assure you, I know all parties. The Sharps are guilty of exactly what has been mentioned, check the Tax roll and you will see how many personal houses they own. The Fontaines started out with good intentions but got caught up in the greed and the falling economy. The actions they took were illegal and and intentional. I personally know the good,bad and ugly of this nice peaceful part of paradise.

I have been a Owner in Cobbly Nob since 1996 and have (2) Excellant Homes with Greenbriar Valley! They have always been above board.honest, and work well with Owners and clients!!! They have probably 75 Quality Properties and All of their Staff does a Great Job!You should check them out for Quality Rentals ! I also, am aware of the Problems with some of the Agents of other Rental Agents that have been in the past , and some of those above comments were correct! Greenbriar Valley is one of the Top Rental Agency and Real Estate Office , especially for Cobbly Nob! There has never been any problems with them, as long as I have done Business with them!People should give them a try for Quality Rentals!!!

I got a call a few weeks ago from the local DA that I had left a message for. He said there was nothing he could do unless charges were brought against the Vick's. I explained my situation to him and he said he would do some research and talk to the detective to find out why they were unable to locate the Vick's. I am sure that was another waste of time! On a side note I noticed on Libby Self Vick's Facebook page she has numerous posts about being a christian and one that said "With God, ALL things are possible!! Well, the "Little Birdie" was correct. I can't think of why someone would think that is "Bull****"? This appears to be someone who never really answers back. Why would someone not believe that one of us would sue for our money? I cannot believe some of the posts since I've last been on this site. It would have been AWESOME to have heard why the Vicks did what they did what they did. One person seems to think there is some Great Hidden reason... Well I cannot share what that reason is- why? Because as the little birdie said the Vicks, nor their attorney, came to court to defend their actions. I am the person who sued the Vicks-Tree to Green Properties LLC d/b/a/ Fontaine Cabin Rentals in Sevier County General Sessions Court No. C0065927. The process server left his card all over town and some wonderful person called him and told him who Vicks attorney was. Roberts attorney accepted the summons. My attorney spoke with the Vicks attorney to see if he was going to ask for a continuance, because we were from out of state. Vicks attorney said he was not going to even come to court on the Vicks behalf, let alone ask for a continuance. So we had our day in court Monday Sept. 27th. I was awarded triple the amount under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act. It was basically over when the Judge asked if I had ever received a return telephone call from Robert Vick- of course the answer was no. On a side note, one of the cabins I had rented was Mt. Critter Lodge- So I had gotten one of those letters stating that my reservation for that cabin would be honored by his father Bob Vick and I would be contacted later for the check in details. The letter did not have my name or check in dates. Thank God I did not believe that letter and depend on its contents, because I never heard anything about how to check in. And my dates have come and gone. So to the defender of the Vicks- your wrong about the little birdie... it did happen and they or their attorney must not felt sure enough about any excuse to come to court to defend themselves or send any information to do so. Their actions were found to be wrong in a court of law...

It's not a MYTH- they left through the time most of the reservations of the people they stole from were coming to the area. He has to deal with TREC- he's here for that because THAT is important to them. Not the court case from a renter- he arranged that well ...he won't have to pay a dime. I would like to be the first to say that I am impressed with "grace under pressure" that The Vicks have displayed. It truly, truly speaks volumes of their character. They have suffered the loss of their business, under gone health issues, suffered an on slaughter of false accusations fueled by rumor mongers. And yet, they have not engaged in the name calling nor have they lost their dignity by stooping the level of some people on this site. I admire the courage they have exhibited during this horrific ordeal. I will always have fond memories of the time my family and friends spent with Fontaine Cabin Rentals and The Vicks.

All of my family and friends have also been staying at Fontaine Cabin Rentals for the last 4 years. We too are sorry to hear that the business closed and the lies swirling around the Vicks. We had stayed with the other companies in that area and were so pleased when we found Fontaine's. They were the best and we will miss them. Some of the comments on this site have clearly been written by members of the competition and we will not be booking any of our future vacations with any of them. Been there done that. I do not know the full circumstances surrounding the business closing but I do know that usually it is the good people that get crucified. Best luck always to the Vicks.

As did we all!!! How do you think we lost money- we'd been staying with them for years too. We are not happy their out of business- we paid our money and just wanted to stay in our cabins. I also sent business their way, because I loved the cabin! You check in and your on your own- it's not as if we got to know the Vicks by staying there often. I knew the office girls- maybe, but not the owners. We did have three cabins we loved over the years that we had reservations for that we had to change "because they left the rental program" but after this happened- I found them on other cabin companies sites. I never questioned it before, but for some reason they left Fontaines and went with another company. When that happened before, I use to think the owners retired and moved into them- I guess there was more to it. One thing I'm thankful for, was I also was not one of the people who showed up to a closed office with no where to go. The world can be very forgiving when asked. Remember how everyone said the best move for Hugh Grant was to go on tv and face the music- he had no backlash for that whole thing b/c he showed he was human. People who admit guilt have an easier time. Some people only see their little bubble and don't think they do any wrong, or affect anyone else. We may not ever know how- but what comes around goes around, I just hope when it comes around to them, they KNOW why and don't think- poor me what have I ever done? Don't overact anyone- I only wish them exactly what they've done- not aids or something evil- just money to be stolen, that should have been in an escrow account or something similar
What action has been taken aganist the Robert and Libby Vick's property I under stand they put it in another person name no matter it needs to be sold and divided to pay everone losses.
Well~ I'm the person who sued, the company Fontaine Cabins was in a sub-name Trees to Green LLC- Roberts name was not on anything to do with the business, Libbys was. But the only thing I could sue under the law was the Trees to Green- the only property they left under that name was the office- they let that go into foreclosure- so there was nothing to go after. Other properties that were under that Trees to Green were moved (name change) last Jan. to hide those from legal action. It is hard to understand that you can win a lawsuit but never be paid- but it's all about who's name things are in. He knew how to protect himself under the law. If something had been in the name of Trees to Green, then you could force them to sell that if they did not pay us. Because of the sub-company we could not sue them as R. & L. Vick- So we have a win and a were awarded three times the amount they stole under the TN consumer protection act, but we'll never see a dime no matter what they have personally. Of course they'll never put any property in the name of Trees to Green again- if they did we could get paid- but that is the only way. The attorney general is the only one who can take criminal action- but without VOTERS in his district requesting this of him- that won't happen either.
He is lucky it was not more money, that he stole from me or I might consider other options!

Cajun Hideaway and Cloud Dancer's owners both left the care of Libby Vick so I doubt if they would go back for more of the same crap that Libby is so good at giving out. (for instance, charging 1/2 hour labor to the owner for a drive-by to make sure a limb is NOT lying on the roof)
Again, some people taking up for the Vicks who know nothing about what they did to so many people. I am a cabin owner who was with Fontaine cabin rental. I NEVER MET THE VICKS. I think they were too busy to talk to the "little people" who they took rental income from. I talked to another cabin owner (with Fontaine) and their 3 cabins were with Fontaine for over 3 years and they had never met Libby Vick. My only contact was the reps who answered the phone in the office. I did not lose any money but so many renters lost their advance deposits they paid to the Vicks. I also send many documents to TREC regarding the Vicks when they closed the doors. How in the world can anybody say "we" are all making this up and starting rumors? I am so ashamed that I was ever tied to this rental company and Libby Vick. I feel bad for everyone who has lost their money by going with a company that was reputable MANY MANY years ago when the Fontaines owned it.
Has anyone heard from TREC or Det. Hodges???
I called TREC about a month ago. He said the case was still under review. He said peoplethat files with them would be notified of the outcome. Should be pretty cut and dry case in my opinion!

I heard that they have returned to their house in Cobbly Nob. I am sure they believe the locals have forgotten all about their criminal actions. They are wrong. There were too many VICKtims. I hope they never get over having to keep an eye over their should and always sit in a corner in restaurants. I bet they traded vehicles so they won't be so easily noticed on the highways and streets.
I'm sure they are. They are renting again. Someone in the community hired Robert as a broker... They've had no repercussions for their actions. Never paid anyone back, have a new job, new rentals that no one knows it's the Vicks they may be giving business too. And he's is still Webb Creeks president... I think he's just fine in the community.
Please give the company name(s) that Vick is renting properties under. I do NOT want to ever send another nickle his way.

The furor may have died down but the Vick name will forever be a nasty blight in Gatlinburg. Locals will remember and laugh at the mention of the name long after they are gone. They may have gotten away with this but they will pay with their reputation, never mind the excuses and attempts to hide behind their religion. After selling Critters Lodge in Cobbly Nob for about $400,000 +, the Vicks are now getting back in the Rental Business out of Pigeon Forge. They have just re listed 3 of the 4 remaining properties in Cobbly Nob. A house on Castle along with a lot and 2 Lots on Ridgeline.
Im sorry to hear about this. We are now in the same boat as all of you, but our issue is with not with Fontaine cabins our is with HICKORY MIST they had done the same thing we booked our cabin for August now we find out they have closed due to the other owner taking money so we cant get our deposit back. So have any of you ben able to get your deposits back and if so please help how did you get it back??? thanks for your help/
No we did not get any money back. One person even won a law suite and never saw a dime. The TN real estate commission even let him keep his lic. It's sick!!! The state did not care, even the attorney general was contacted- did not give a crap. Good Luck to you and sorry that happened to you.

It is all TREC's fault that this happened again! If a rental company sees some other company close the door and walk away with hundreds of thousands of dollars with nothing done to them why not steal some for yourself. God will forgive you just ask Libby!
